Privacy Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Coinquill, operated by Senosys ("we", "us"), collects, why, and the choices you have. By using Coinquill you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account details. Your name, email address and, if you add one, your mobile number. These come from Google sign-in, or from what you enter when you create an account. A mobile number is verified with a code we email to you.
- Your records. The expenses, amounts, currencies, categories, notes, budgets, renewals and settings you enter, plus your home currency and time zone.
- Reminder data. If you turn on phone reminders, your browser gives us a notification address for this device. We use it only to send you the reminders you asked for.
- Sign-in codes. One-time codes are stored only as a one-way hash and expire after 10 minutes.
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we keep your message and address to reply.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) used for security and troubleshooting.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service: sign you in, show your records, calculate totals and budgets, and send the reminders and verification emails you need.
- To keep Coinquill secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To respond to your requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show advertising, and we do not use your data for advertising or profiling. Your records are private to your account.
3. Bills and voice
- Scanning a bill. The photo is read on your phone. It is not uploaded to us.
- Voice entry. Your browser's own speech service (for example Google's in Chrome) listens and returns text. We receive only the text you confirm, not the audio.
4. Who can see your information
- Only you can see your expenses and renewals. Our staff do not look at them.
- Service providers that help us run Coinquill: Google (sign-in), our email provider (to send verification and reminder emails), your browser's push service (to deliver phone notifications) and our hosting provider (Hostinger). They process data only to provide those services.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use a secure session cookie to keep you signed in (up to 7 days). Your browser may store app files for offline use and small preferences, such as your voice language or a dismissed prompt. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
6. Where your data is stored and how long
Data is stored on a server operated for us by Hostinger. If you use Coinquill from outside that region, your data is transferred to and stored there. We keep your data while your account is active. Database backups are kept for a short period and then overwritten.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restrict access to the server, hash sign-in codes and limit how often codes can be requested. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect your email account.
8. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can do the following yourself in Settings: download a copy of your data, turn email reminders off, and delete your account and all your records. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by emailing support@senosys.com from your registered address. We respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, where it applies, the EU and UK GDPR. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Coinquill is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will notify you in the app or by email.
